What You Can Send in Messages

Allia’s messaging supports sharing essential patient files, documents, and updates securely.

You can send:

  • Files and documents (PDFs): Medical reports, letters, prescriptions, worksheets, or psychoeducational materials

  • Images and photos

  • Treatment plans: Share directly through the messaging portal using the share button

  • Invoices: Payment invoices automatically appear in the messaging thread

  • Records: Patients can securely share prior records with you via messaging

Note: Video files are not supported yet.

How to Attach a File

  1. Click the “+” icon next to the message box.

  2. Select the file from your device.

  3. The file uploads and appears directly in the chat window.

Both clinicians and patients can download received files onto their device for reference or record-keeping.

Tip: Always confirm that sensitive documents are sent to the correct patient to maintain confidentiality and HIPAA compliance.
