Allia aggregates information from five core sources to provide a longitudinal view of health. All data processing is strictly handled in compliance with HIPAA and SOC 2 Type II security standards.
1. Medical Continuity (HIE)
Allia bridges the gap between primary care and behavioral health by connecting to national Health Information Exchanges (HIEs).
Source: Secure networks encompassing hospitals, laboratories, and primary care physicians.
Clinical Utility: Automatically retrieve external medical history, including discharge summaries, specialist consultations, and lab results.
Privacy & Protection: This is a unidirectional sync. Allia retrieves physical health data to inform your treatment, but your private psychotherapy notes are never exported or shared back to the HIE.
Informed Consent: Access is only granted after the patient/client provides explicit consent during their onboarding process.
2. Pharmacological Profile (DrFirst)
This integration offers a comprehensive view of a patient/client’s medication adherence and history.
Verified History: Access 12 months of "fill data" from over 70,000 pharmacies to verify which medications were dispensed.
Safety & Compliance: Clinical-grade AI automatically screens for drug-to-drug interactions and known allergies.
Prescribing Workflow: Manage routine refills and Electronic Prescribing of Controlled Substances (EPCS) within a single interface.
Financial Transparency: Review real-time out-of-pocket costs and Prior Authorization requirements before submitting a prescription.
3. Bio-Behavioral Insights (Wearables)
Monitor objective physiological metrics to support measurement-based care and identify trends between sessions.
Clinical Markers: Track sleep architecture, heart rate variability, and physical activity. Significant shifts in these markers often serve as early indicators of clinical relapse.
Patient/Client Agency: Data is only shared if the individual manually opts to sync their device (Apple Health, Fitbit, or Google Fit) via the Allia app.
4. Ambient Documentation (Transcription)
Ambient transcription handles the administrative burden, allowing you to remain fully present during the clinical encounter.
Clinical Sovereignty: You maintain absolute control over the record. You may edit, refine, or permanently delete transcripts and notes at your discretion.
Immediate Utility: Receive a full transcript and an AI-generated draft note immediately following each session.
Consent Protocols: Telehealth consent is automated. For in-person sessions, we recommend a verbal consent discussion before activating the tool.
Pro Tip: For a template consent form regarding ambient documentation, contact krista@allia.health.
5. Direct Clinical Input (Patient/Client & Clinician)
The foundational documentation provided by both members of the therapeutic alliance.
Patient/Client Input: Digital intake forms, recurring symptom trackers, and validated assessments (such as the PHQ-9 or GAD-7) flow directly from the mobile app.
Clinician Input: Your progress notes, treatment plans, and any securely uploaded external files (PDFs, previous evaluations, etc.).
