Use the structured tables in Medical Overview to review a patient's diagnoses, allergies, and medications.
The tables can include read-only records from DrFirst and custom records added in Allia.
Review the tables
The Diagnosis, Allergies, and Medications sections each show one clinical record per row.
DrFirst rows show information retrieved from DrFirst.
Records created in Allia display a Custom Added tag.
Table columns summarize the available clinical details.
View record details
Select a row to open the available details for that record.
Manage DrFirst records
DrFirst records are read-only in Allia. Update or correct them directly in DrFirst.
Add custom medical records
Users with the appropriate permissions can add custom prescriptions, allergies, and diagnoses in Allia.
Add a custom prescription
To add a custom prescription:
In Medications, select Add Custom Prescription.
Enter the prescription details.
Select Add Prescription.
Available fields include:
Generic Name.
Brand Name.
Status: Active, On Hold, Pending, or Stopped.
Strength.
Dosage.
Directions.
Notes, optional.
The prescription appears in the medication table with a Custom Added tag.
Add a custom allergy
To add a custom allergy:
In Allergies, select Add Custom Allergy.
Enter the allergy details.
Save the record.
Available fields include Allergen, Reaction Type, Severity, Status, and Onset Date. Severity can be Mild, Moderate, Severe, or Life-Threatening. Status can be Active, Inactive, or Resolved.
Important: The Onset Date cannot be in the future.
The allergy appears in the table with a Custom Added tag.
Add a custom diagnosis
To add a custom diagnosis:
In Diagnosis, select Add Custom Diagnosis.
Enter the Diagnosis Name, Status, and optional Onset Date.
Save the record.
The diagnosis appears in the table with a Custom Added tag.
Edit custom records
Users with the appropriate permissions can open a custom record and select Edit.
Custom prescriptions: Edit Status, Strength, Dosage Form, Directions, and Notes. You cannot change the medication or brand name.
Custom allergies: Edit Reaction Type, Severity, Status, and Onset Date. You cannot change the allergen.
Custom diagnoses: Edit Status and Onset Date. You cannot change the diagnosis name.
Save your changes when finished. Updates appear throughout Allia and are added to the record's history.
Delete custom records
Only the original creator can delete a custom record. Other users may be able to view or edit it based on their permissions, but they will not see the delete option.
Note: Role permissions control who can add or edit custom medical records. By default, non-clinical Admin and non-clinical Owner roles do not have this permission.
