View diagnoses, allergies, and medications

Use Medical Overview to review DrFirst data and custom clinical records for a patient.

Use Medical Overview to review a patient's diagnoses, allergies, and medications from DrFirst and custom records added in Allia.

Open Medical Overview

To open Medical Overview:

  1. Open the patient's profile.

  2. Select Medical Overview.

Available records and actions depend on your role and permissions.

Review clinical information

  • Diagnosis: The default view. It shows diagnoses retrieved from DrFirst and custom diagnoses added in Allia.

  • Allergies: Shows active medication and non-medication allergies when available, plus custom allergies added in Allia.

  • Medications: Shows current and historical medications, including available dosage, status, and prescribing details. Custom prescriptions also appear here.

DrFirst and custom records

DrFirst records are read-only in Allia. Update or correct them in DrFirst.

Authorized users can add custom prescriptions, allergies, and diagnoses in Allia. These records:

  • Display a Custom Added tag.

  • Can be edited based on role permissions.

  • Can be deleted only by the original creator.

  • Include a log of changes over time.

When DrFirst is not connected

You can still open Medical Overview when DrFirst is not connected.

  • DrFirst diagnoses, allergies, and medication data are unavailable.

  • Allia prompts you to connect your DrFirst account.

  • Custom records can still appear based on your access and permissions.

After you connect DrFirst, synced clinical history appears alongside custom records.
