Request e-prescription access

Complete the one-time setup that verifies your prescribing credentials and connects Allia to DrFirst.

Clinicians must complete a one-time setup before using e-prescribing in Allia. This verifies prescribing credentials and activates the DrFirst connection.

Start the request

The first time you open e-prescribing or Medical Overview, an empty state appears because DrFirst is not active yet.

Choose one way to continue:

  • Complete the registration form in Allia.

  • Email the required details to team@allia.health.

What happens next

  1. The Allia team verifies your credentials.

  2. The team completes the DrFirst setup.

  3. E-prescribing appears in your account automatically when setup is complete.

No additional action is required from you. After activation, you can open DrFirst and view synced medication data in Medical Overview.

Custom medical records

DrFirst access is required for e-prescribing and retrieving DrFirst clinical data. With the appropriate permissions, you can still add custom prescriptions, allergies, and diagnoses directly in Allia.

Allia labels these records Custom Added to distinguish them from DrFirst data.

Important: Adding a custom prescription documents the medication in Allia. It does not issue an e-prescription through DrFirst.

Availability

E-prescribing is available at no cost to prescribing clinicians.
