The Appointments tab is the central hub for a patient/client to track their appointment history and upcoming care. The interface is designed to reduce no-shows and make joining virtual sessions effortless.
1. Navigation & Scheduling
Patients/clients can find their appointments in two primary locations:
Home Screen: Confirmed upcoming sessions appear at the top for immediate access.
Appointments Tab: A dedicated view at the bottom of the screen organized into three sections:
Upcoming: All confirmed and pending sessions.
Cancelled: A record of rescheduled or cancelled visits.
Completed: A history of past sessions.
2. Attending Sessions
The app provides distinct tools based on the appointment type to ensure the patient/client arrives in the right place:
Telehealth Sessions:
Join Button: One-tap entry into the virtual room from a mobile device.
Copy Link: Allows the patient/client to easily move the session to a desktop if preferred.
In-Person Visits:
Location Access: Displays the physical clinic address.
Get Directions: Integrates with the device’s map app for turn-by-turn navigation.
3. Managing Requests & Updates
Communication regarding schedule changes is instantaneous, keeping both clinician and patient/client aligned.
Pending Appointments: When you propose a new time, it appears as a request. The patient/client can Accept or Decline directly, updating your dashboard immediately.
Visual Indicators: * Red Dot: Appears on an appointment card when details have been updated.
Notification Counter: A badge appears on the Appointments icon at the bottom of the screen to signal new activity.
Pro Tip: For telehealth issues, suggest they check their signal or use the Copy Link feature to try a different device.
