Allia includes a built-in, HIPAA-compliant telehealth suite that centralizes session delivery and clinical documentation. The platform is entirely browser-basedโno downloads or installations required for you or your clients.
How Allia Telehealth Works
Allia uses a "one-link" model: both you and your client use the same secure URL to enter the session room.
Key Benefits:
Native to Allia โ No need to manage third-party tools like Zoom or Microsoft Teams
Zero barriers for clients โ No login credentials or passwords required; clients join with a single click
Works on any device โ Clients can join from smartphones, tablets, or computers (we recommend Google Chrome for optimal performance)
Integrated transcription for secure AI note taking
Pro Tip: Test your setup before your first session (camera, microphone, internet connection)
For Clinicians: Joining a Telehealth Session
You can launch a telehealth session from multiple places within Allia:
Option 1: Calendar View
Click on any scheduled telehealth appointment block
Select Join
Option 2: Practice Dashboard
Go to your Upcoming Appointments list
Click Join next to the client's name
Option 3: Synced External Calendar
Open the appointment in your Google calendar
Click the meeting link directly (especially convenient when on mobile)
Pro Tip: Use Google Chrome for the most reliable experience
For Clients: Joining a Telehealth Session
Clients receive their session link automatically through multiple channels:
How Clients Access Their Link
Email notifications:
Link is sent immediately upon booking
Additional reminder emails include the link before the appointment
Allia Health mobile app:
Clients can join with one tap from the app's Home Screen
If a Client Can't Find Their Link
You can manually share the link in seconds:
Click the appointment block in your Allia Calendar
Select "Copy Meeting Link"
Send the URL to your client via secure message or email
Note: Since you both use the same room link, you're simply sharing your session URL to help them enter.
