Publishing & Sending a Treatment Plan to the Patient

Updated over a month ago

Once a treatment plan is created and finalized, you can publish it to make it official and choose whether to share it with the patient.

Steps to publish a treatment plan

  1. Go to the Treatment Plan tab in the patient’s profile.

  2. Select the treatment plan you want to publish.

  3. Click the Publish button in the top-right corner.

  4. A signature modal will appear for verification. You can either type your full name or draw your signature.

  5. Two confirmation checkboxes will appear. Check both to acknowledge and confirm.

  6. Click Publish to finalize the plan.

Once published, the treatment plan’s status will change from Draft to Published, and it will no longer be editable.

After Publishing

  • Once the plan is published, you will see two options:

    1. Download PDF – to export the treatment plan in a downloadable format for record-keeping or offline review.

    2. Send to Patient – to share the published plan directly with the patient.

      • Selecting this option will notify the patient via their app or portal.

      • The patient can view the shared plan but cannot edit it.

Key Notes

  • Only published plans can be shared with patients.

  • The clinician’s digital signature and verification act as an official attestation of the treatment plan.

  • All published plans are timestamped and stored under the patient’s record for documentation and compliance purposes.
