Once a treatment plan is finalized, Publishing it secures the document as an official clinical record. This process locks the data for compliance and allows you to share the plan directly with the patient to keep them engaged in their care.
How to Publish a Treatment Plan
Finalizing a plan requires a digital signature to act as an official clinical attestation.
Navigate: Go to the Treatment Plan tab in the patient’s profile.
Select: Click on the draft treatment plan you wish to finalize.
Initiate: Click the Publish button in the top-right corner.
Sign: A signature modal will appear. You can either type your full name or draw your signature using your mouse or touch screen.
Verify: Check both confirmation boxes to acknowledge the accuracy of the record.
Finalize: Click Publish.
Sharing with the Patient
Sharing a treatment plan encourages transparency and helps patients stay focused on their SMART Goals.
After publishing, two options will appear:
Download PDF: Export the plan for offline review, audits, or external record-keeping.
Send to Patient: Share the plan directly to the Allia Health Client App in the messages tab.
The patient will receive an instant notification.
Patients can view their plan at any time but do not have permission to edit it.
Updating and Version Control
Clinical work is dynamic. When a patient’s needs change, you can update their treatment plan by creating a new version.
Saving New Versions: If you update a published plan, the system prompts you to save it as a new version (e.g., v2, v3). This ensures the original record (v1) remains preserved for compliance.
Progress Toggling: You can easily toggle between different versions of the treatment plan. This allows you to compare specific sections side-by-side to see how goals and symptoms have changed over time.
Once a treatment plan is created and finalized, you can publish it to make it official and choose whether to share it with the patient.
