Publishing and sending a treatment plan

Sign and publish a treatment plan, then download it or send it to the patient.

Publish a completed treatment plan to sign and timestamp the clinical record. You can then download it or send a read-only copy to the patient.

Publish a treatment plan

To publish a plan:

  1. Open the patient’s Treatment Plan tab.

  2. Select the draft plan.

  3. Select Publish.

  4. Type your full name or draw your signature.

  5. Select both confirmation boxes.

  6. Select Publish again.

The plan becomes a signed and timestamped clinical record.

Send the plan to the patient

After publishing, choose one of these options:

  • Download PDF: Save a copy for offline review, an audit, or another record.

  • Send to Patient: Send the plan through Messages in the Allia Health app.

The patient receives a notification and can review the plan. They cannot edit the clinical record.

Update a published plan

When you edit a published plan, Allia asks you to save the changes as a new version. The original version remains available.

Use Version to move between versions and compare changes to goals, symptoms, or other sections.
