Set up your billing profile

Save the professional and tax details you use for payer transaction enrollments.

If you accept insurance, create a Billing Profile to save the professional details used for payer enrollments.

You can reuse the profile instead of entering the same information for each payer.

Information in a billing profile

Choose whether you bill as an Individual under your name or an Organization under a business name, then enter:

  • Profile Name: A nickname for the profile, such as "Main Office."

  • NPI: Your 10-digit National Provider Identifier.

  • Tax ID & Type: Your SSN or EIN.

  • Contact Type: Individual with a first and last name, or Organization with a business name.

  • Address & Contact Info: Your billing address, email address, and phone number.

How many profiles to create

Most providers need one billing profile. You may need more than one when:

  • You use an SSN for some insurance plans and a business EIN for others.

  • One payer has you registered as an individual and another has you registered as a business.

Separate profiles let you choose the details that match each payer contract without changing your saved information.
