Getting Started: Practice Sign-Up and Onboarding

This article walks you through how to sign up for Allia for Practices as a group practice and complete the onboarding steps. The setup process makes sure your practice is configured correctly and your team members are added with the right level of access.

Steps to Sign Up for Group Practices

1. Select Practice Type

  • On the sign-up page, choose Group Practice.

2. Enter Account Details

  • Fill in the following fields:

    • Email

    • Name

    • Password

    • Confirm Password

3. Specify Team Size

  • Choose one of the options:

    • 2–20 team members: Continue to the next step for verification.

    • 20+ team members: You will be prompted about the Enterprise Plan and can Schedule a Call with our team via Calendly/Hubspot.

4. Verify Email

  • A verification email will be sent. Click the link to verify your email and start onboarding.

  • Note:

    • If the link is not clicked, the signup attempt expires after 24 hours.

    • If verified but not completed, a default practice is created, and you can log in later to continue.

Group Practice Onboarding Flow

1. Practice Details

Enter the following information:

  • Practice Name (required)

  • Practice Type (Dropdown: Private Practice, Community Mental Health, Hospital System, University)

  • Website URL (optional)

  • Phone Number (optional)

2. Who’s Setting Up?

Select your role:

  • I'm a Licensed Clinician: Enter and verify your NPI. This verifies clinical credentials and unlocks secure features.

  • I'm a Business/Administrative Owner: Grants administrative-only access; the user cannot view PHI (Protected Health Information).

3. Billing Preference

  • Select the practice's billing method:

    • Professional Billing (CMS-1500 Form)

4. Invite Team Members

  • Invite users by entering their Email and defining their Access using a pre-defined role.

  • If the user doesn’t exist in Allia: They complete onboarding by providing Name, Password, and NPI (if they select clinician). No individual practice is created automatically.

  • If the user exists in Allia: They log in directly to the practice and see a welcome popup.

Tips

  • Ensure email verification is completed within 24 hours to avoid expiration.

  • Verify clinician NPIs to unlock clinical features.

  • Use pre-defined roles when inviting team members to ensure correct access.
